Sparx, born Theodore David Simmons II, is a male human, 170 cm tall, weighing 64 kg, with flat brown hair and brown eyes. Awkward and gangly, he has never grown into his frame, and moves with a perpetual look of surprise on his face. He favors soiled canvas coveralls and working clothes with satchel full of tools and diagnostic equipment. An astral perception will reveal that he is mundane, with only a handful of implants, mostly headware (essence 5.10).
Born into the household of successful corporate managers, Simmons grew up with a median to upper quality of life; never wanting for anything but lacking the true trappings of wealth. He attended private, corp sponsored schools, and did well in math and science subjects, going on to secondary education and majoring in Electrical Engineering. Much to his parents' chagrin, though, he lacked any sort of ambition, and kicked around from job to job after fraduation. Things might have continued this way for sometime, had not a cruel twist of fate intervened.
Returning home one night, he discovered a Corporate official waiting for him. His parents were dead in a tragic car accident, and since he was not employed by the Corporation, he would not be able to stay in the house any longer. Although his parents both had life insurance, after the Corporation deducted the required funeral charges and balances on outstanding debts, Simmons had enough to buy himself an after funeral dinner. It was late in the evening, in a back booth at Jack Wong's Noodle Palace that Simmons was approached by a fixer calling herself Fury. She offered to set him up with his own shop and provide the initial financing to get his business off the ground if he would provide her and her operatives a single rate on electronics and electronics repair. Simmons waited until he'd finished his spring roll before accepting.
Sparx is vehemently anti-corporate, and takes every opportunity to say so. That being said, he won't engage in conversation at all unless he's reasonably familiar with one person there. He's very loyal to Fury, and will provide whatever assistance he can to the customers she sends him, especially female ones. Otherwise his services are for sale at market value, and he can fix or obtain just about anything electronic given enough time and nuyen.
