History
They called you Halo in prison, and not only for your looks. Apparently word got around that the little girl had gone for a joyride in mommy's Westwind with mommy's credstick. For what it's worth, you're willing to bet that they don't send every sixteen year old to prison for the odd joyride. Only you, with an abusive drunk for a father and a mother who whored herself out to anyone just to get enough money to support her 2XS habit, didn't get the mercy of the law. Which is how you ended up in the gladiator academy called Moon Lake Women's Correctional Facilities. What a fraggin' joke.
After serving only a year of your thirty month sentence, you were sold to a Mafia boss who needed fresh meat for his BTL smuggling operation. Before you went under the knife they beat and raped you. After you came out of intensive care they beat and raped you. Then they put you behind the wheel of a greened-up Bison with a cargo hold full of illegal chips and told you to drive. You told them where to shove it and ran over half the soldiers before making a run for it into the city.
On the run from the mafia, you were too hot for most people's tastes. Except one. A guy called Ex showed up across from you in a bar one night and offered you a seat driving the lead car in his team. You jumped at the chance. Ex and his team were your family for two years, and with them you cut Seattle apart at the seams. Or it seemed you did. Until the night they came for you.
All of you. Apparently your last score had a number of people ticked off, people with money, who could afford to hire talent. And it was pure talent that smashed Ex's team into fragments. Only three of the original eight survive. Including you. After that, you wandered lost for a little while, not knowing what to do. Until you found yourself in the same bar that Ex had picked you up in, drinking the same brand of beer, trying to forget the same sort of things. This time it was a woman who approached your booth, though, a woman with a proposition.
"Halo Jones?"
"Maybe." Paranoia is a learned skill.
"My name is Fury and I've been looking for you. I have an offer you might be interested in."
