Dassault Falcon 2000

Falcon 2000

Seeking to break into the lucrative business jet market, Dassault's initial offering of the Flacon 50 EX was received well despite a lack of widespread sales. Based in no small part on the customer reviews received, Dassault has announced the release of its second business jet, the Falcon 2000. Very similar in size and design to the 50 EX, the 2000 features several key improvements. A larger wingspan and slightly wider cabin mean a more generous fuel load and a larger belowdecks baggage area. Additionally, the 2000 is powered by the newer General Electric CFE748 turbofans, giving it a faster cruising speed and greater fuel economy. The ergonomical cockpit layout has been improved with the inclusion of an additional two liquid crystal MFDs in the center console, as well as the Honeywell FMZ-200 Flight Management program. The standard package includes a Cat II autopilot system, dual ADF/DME, dual AHRS as well as Laseref IRS, GPS, flight data recorder, satcom, and traffic alert and collision avoidance system. With a keen eye on its luxury counterparts, Dassault has also included an aft cabin equipped with amenties for two including bunks, restroom, desk, and galley. All in all, this latest offering from Dassault ranks right up there with the more expensive aircraft offered by Gulfstream and Learjet.
